Mortal Kombat modder Tetzrep has a new technique for modding MK9 that results in some awesome character mesh swaps. Using this technique, which is a little complicated for the average user at the moment, requires knowledge of HEX editing but the modders are likely to develop some tools to aid in the process. Tetzrep is also making these mods for not only the PS3 but also some for Xbox 360 and PC. Using the mesh swapping technique he has also made some very cool skins.
Just recently aman & Tetzrep have found a way to mesh swap. Two different people, two different techniques. These methods are still in early stages but the most noticeable and used is from Tetzrep.
With this recent Discovery he has made a actual Ninja Skin for Rain, Classic MK2 Ninja Skin Pack and also a Sub-Frost and a real Cyber Ninja Pack, Wow. Right now you can only do these methods manually with a Hex Editor, but there are a lot of Kombat Modders hard at work to develop tools to make this process a lot easier for everyone else. Also one last thing. All of these PKG's are for BLES, but if you have BLUS just use a PKG viewer and extract it and place the newer folder into the DLC folder of your game and your good to-go.
To install Frost, just install the .pkg file, she will show up as Subzero's atl costume. She will also have subzero's retro fatality available. (the MK2 characters also have this)
Please note this is still work in progress. Although the main parts are done, there still are a few minor bugs. (Mainly with reptile) Requirement: make sure rain mk2 costume has been installed first, as I have added to it.. PC and 360 will follow shortly.
