So the main reason I love 3.18/3.20 is it isn't locked down tight like 3.50+ with easy write access to the PSP/GAME folder and fully custom bubbles. And the other huge thing is the PKG installer that can be unlocked for 3.20 models. Well since we can use Mr. Gas trick to install NON-DRM pkg files it isn't a huge deal but still much easier to use the PKG manager over the fail-mail trick so I never found a need to go past that as we can even bypass firmware restrictions for games.
Well that was until today it seems. Using the native Vita hack Rejuvante and the latest build 0.3.4 with firmware 3.30+ you unlock 33% more CPU power for the hack and only losing the native pkg manager. I can use the fail-mail trick or better yet my PS3 via CMA to install PKG files again after fixing all the issues I had with content not belonging to the user profile due to Rebug Fake Save data owner. So I took the plunge and installed 3.30 on one of my systems.
I can say it makes a world of a difference especially with VitaQuake 1.2 and RetroARCH. Now it's time for them to use the DynaRec and implement N64 and more since it has a standard DynaRec instead of the cobbled together 64bit with 32bit pointers which has hindered the use of this on the PS3 builds. Anyhow sure most don't care but had to share with someone.
