downgrade and CFW install help

so first off i wanna say hello to everyone as i am new to this forum. hope all is well.

So i just did my first PS3 Mod. i am on other forums for xbox 360 mods and have done hundreds of RGH/JTAG so i have an idea of how all this works.

to be honest i think the ps3 is just a little bit easier so far. only thing i had trouble with was the Nor clip on my E3 flasher but other then that seems simple.
enough rambling ill get to the point.

so i made several backups of my nor and checked them all out, they all passed. norinspector said they were good. when i used ps3 dumpatcher at first the RS0 and RS01 was red. so i downloaded latest Hash update and then it was all good and let me patch my Dump. flashed it and then used Rogero Downgrader to get to 3.55. everything works so far.

now bare with me please i have tried to research as much as possible and i feel i have done ok for the first time as i completed dumping my nor and downgrading the console. but i just cant seem to figure some things out and i dont wanna mess anything up.
so can i now just use 4.75 starbucks v1.00 to upgrade to latest CFW?
what is toggleqa PKG and do i need it?
is there anything special i have to do if i ever wanna go back to OFW and be able to go on PSN without issues since it was modded at one point?

all i want to be able to do at this point is play my lagit PS3 games from my HDD without the disc, still be able to do system link games and be able to control my fan speed or target temps
THATS ALL i want noting else. i frown on cheating/modding online games. but i do believe in using something for whatever you want with something i paid good money for.

thank you all in advance.

Who Has a XB1 or XB360 and Wants GOW3 & GOW Judgement?

Like the title says, I am curious as to who among us has an Xbox One or Xbox 360 and would like a free copy of Gears of War 3 and Gear Os War Judgement?

I recently received Gears of War Ultimate Edition for the Xbox One, and they have given me codes for the first four games. I already had the last two, so I have no need for the codes.

If you are interested, send me a PM. First come, first serve. I will post here once someone has taken the code(s).

3D movies problem

Hello,
I just got my PS3 with Ferrox 4.76 and Multiman 4.76. It works great. However I want to watch 3D blu-ray films on it. They are usually downloadable in ISO and what I do is make them into BDMV & Certificate folder. Then I transfer the files to the PS3. Start them with the program Showtime. And here comes the problem it plays like a 2D bluray. It does not recognize that it is a 3D movie.

I will be extremely happy if someone can help me solve this.

Thanks.

Developer Aldostools has updated webMAN MOD with the release of v1.43.22, there has been several changes to this outstanding plugin for PS3 CFW user's. In version v1.43.22 an added ability was added for PS2/PSP ISO you have stored on your external or /net locations, while you can not play these external media types, this update will however display the stored content with an Auto-Copy feature that when mounted from those external locations will then copy to your internal drive for play. Also in this update the developer has provied a workaround solution for mounting the 2nd PSX ISOs without a freeze issues that some titles have presented from an NTFS drive, view the latest details and additional explanation of the workaround Aldo has found in the details and links provided below:

The work around is that now the psx isos from ntfs are started using Estwald's raw_iso.sprx (like IRISMAN). However, it will only work for the webMAN editions that have the flag FAKEISO enabled (i.e. all the sprx in webMAN MOD's updater except the Lite edition) and the plugin raw_iso.sprx must be installed as one of the following paths:
Code:

                      const char raw_iso_sprx[4][40] = {  "/dev_flash/vsh/module/raw_iso.sprx",
                                        "/dev_hdd0/raw_iso.sprx",
                                        "/dev_hdd0/plugins/raw_iso.sprx",
                                        "/dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/sprx_iso" };

If the plugin is not installed, the game will be mounted via webMAN as usual (with the eventual freeze after launch the 2nd psx iso mounted on ntfs).

Known issue: The bug is still present for the PSX games launched via netiso.

Well, I've uploaded my version. The truth is that I have a very busy weekend, but I've managed to do it.

My idea of the temperature alarm is not turned off the console: The system takes care of it and anything above 80 degrees ... and also turn solves nothing and can **** a game from which you leave in a seconds.

In addition, the temperature alarm as I added, can adjust from 50 to 80 degrees inclusive (allows change from 0 degrees to disable). The idea is to show the temperature (with a beep, slightly audible) when temperatures reach or exceed theoretically not hope to achieve. MS itself is responsible for putting the fan at high speed if it exceeds 75 degrees.

I think it's better to show a persistently alarm, which gadfly, so that the user should react as to directly shut down the system (not even giving notice a reasonable time) and if the system itself and can act automatically.

The alarm time and displays a notification sound achieved trophy. Well, it displays three notifications, with an interval of about 10 s. The idea is to put it as a warning to call the attention of elapsed time that we should take a break, for example. It is not the cock with onion :) But I found interesting and useful for me (in fact, it was tested in a game, and if not for the alarm he jumped, he would have been late yesterday, it was with some friends :) : I did look at the clock and I knew that when jump ...)

Now show the temperature has two forms: with a time interval (SELECT + L2), set by default in 10 seconds, but you can go to 4-60 to "estresaros" more or less. Or by pressing SELECT + R2, only it does it once, independently.

I said I think: what to see the temperature in gaming seems useful to haceer track and tangibly see what happens all the time. But to taste the colors were invented and if other people want it otherwise and can be "content" easily, without removing the utility that I think is, well ...

I have my way of doing things and I understand that other people have theirs: and I see perfect :)

The "bad" news is that I have released version 3.00 of Iris. That's bad because it is a very round number for a bachelor ... :) . It has been a pleasure to be here doing little things, a hug :)

Question about going from cfw 4.76 to ofw

$

Hello
A friend brought to me a console that was originaly on cfw rebug 4.76 with cobra and webman active (also with auto fan control enabled)
He installed on the console the ofw 4.76 because he wanted to play online
When playing any game, at some point the fan tends to get louder and louder
I opened up the console and changed the thermal paste on the surfaces of the cpu-s and heatsinks but the problem is still there... only that it just appears at a later moment
My question is ... could it be that webman may have changed something that is still persistent after the update or there may actually be a problem like the thermal paste under the Integrated Heat Spreaders?

pcsx2 v1.4.0 (PlayStation 2 Emulator)

Hello PCSX2 followers and a belated Happy New Year!
After being late a couple of days (it's a tradition and we can't break it ), we present you with a new stable release, version 1.4.0! Grab it HERE

Along with the release comes our year end report for 2015. The following progress report will provide an overview of all the notable changes from the previous stable version, 1.2.1, to this update. Keep in mind many of the changes have been mentioned in previous progress reports, but are mentioned again as a changelog for 1.4.0. The changes since 1.2.1 are so many, some smaller, some quite massive, that it was impossible to write about all of them, but we believe we have nailed all the highlights!

This release is special for our growing Linux user base. You will be treated with a shiny new GSdx OpenGL backend, for a massive speed and compatibility boost over 1.2.1 and much more, all thanks to the efforts of Gregory and various contributors!

Generally, this release includes work from many more contributors than any previous versions. It appears that switching to Git as our version control system helped invite more developers and encourages sharing even small patches and additions.

So without further ado, here is the report!

128bit console emulation, can my setup run it?

So I have just did a PC for my youngest one and her friends dad emulates systems for the kids and of course she asked why I didn't do this and have so many systems. This was quickly prompted the reply "Daddy can you do one for me?" And not one to tell my kid no I pulled out a PC that was given to my aspayment for some data transfer to a new PC and a little security.

So I got a lot I have setup before but nothing really special with Dreamcast being the highest. I'm mainly asking about PCSX2 and Dolphin. From what I understand Dolphin doesn't require as much of a PC as PCSX2 does.

So here is what I will have for her once it's all setup and done.

MSI (Nvidia) 210 1gb dd3 @doctorwho5;
AMD Athlon II 640 Quad-Core @ 3.GHz
8gb RAM (only 6gb ATM but another 2gbis on the way)
1.5tb SATA HDD

I am dumb when it comes to PC hardware as I went to their forums but not sure where my GFX & CPU fit in the minimum specs.

=BD Remarry=

1) Toggle Factory Service Mode (should be easy now)
2) Put "eid_root_key" that belongs to the console to /dev_usb/
3) Select Remarry Bluray Drive in Network->cfw-settings->Remarry Bluray Drive
4) If everything went fine it should have notified: "CEX_drive_init() succeeded"
5) Dont forget to repair CRL/DRL if you need to fix it
