Have someone know how "System Backup Utility" making packages? I'm looking a way to add directories like "/trophy", and removing some trash like sen cache etc. It's hardcoded into some module?
I know that Kakaroto wrote tool to manipulate this kind of packages, also I know how to use fm/ftp... I'm just looking much convinient way for making backup of my files which will work on other console, not include cache and spy crap and not throw i.e save's with CP into pck encrypted junk.

Mamba / PRX Autoloader v3.0.0 (unofficial) - PS2 ISO SUpport Added by Team Ps3ITA

$
0
0
The MAMBA payload since its introduction from developer Estwald (in Iris Manager) possessed many COBRA (CFW) like features and then developer _NzV_ forked the project into the MAMBA / PRX Autoloader and this made COBRA & MAMBA very comparable with each other, but still COBRA had once slight advantage, and that being the ability to play PS2 & PSP ISOs.. Now with the release by Rancid-0 and Team Ps3ITA of Unofficial /MAMBA / PRX Autoloader v3.00 we now have he ability to play PS2 ISOs. So what is next for MAMBA, the team hints at PSP ISO support next? Until then checkout this unofficial update that is sure to excite MAMBA users as well as the PS3 Hacking Community..

Quote:

Mamba / Prx Autoloader is an originally developed by NZV program that adds to a CFW Standard almost all the features found on a Cobra CFW.
The Mamba has only two limitations, can not boot ISO ISO PS2 and PSP.
Well now this last limitation no longer exists, we have added support for the ISO PS2.

COMPLETE CHANGELOG
  • Support for ISO PS2 on CFW CEX / DEX 4:46, 4.50, 4.65, 4.66, 4.70, 4.75, 4.76, 4.78
  • Full compatibility with CFW Rebug (with Cobra disabled), after installing the mamba can easily switch between various modes (debug menu, retail, lv2_kernel cex, dex etc ..)
  • The new_core has been slightly modified. The flag nousb will be created in / dev_hdd0 / tmp / core_flags after the first installation of the Mamba, this will disable detection flag from USB devices, but will reset the freeze problems when the console starts and problems with CFW DEX (if you want to reactivate detection flags from the usb deleted files nousb but I do not recommend it, especially if you are on a CFW DEX). One other thing has been changed, the new_core now directly run the vsh without first starting the sys_init_osd_ori.self files, this allows you to use the CFW rebug in all modes and prevents your screen turns blue after the start of a 'Aplications and **** the log file (for more information read the readme in the source).
  • Created a "gui" for the installer the mamba ..
  • IMPORTANT NOTE - ISO PS2 are supported only if you install the Mamba!

WE WANT TO THANK THE HEART
  • @Estwald the first to bring the Cobra in the form of payload
  • @_NzV_ for creating Mamba / PRX Auto / Loader
  • @Joonie for all the tips you gave us, the tests, the development of Cobra .. (thanks Joonie )
  • @Orion who provided various CFW, some symbols, and for all tests done (thank you )
  • Everyone involved in recent years in improving the COBRA: @habib, @aldostools, @deank, @KW (sorry if we forgot someone ..)

ps: also support the ISO PSP is coming soon

So I finally just installed ps3tools again and I know I use a BAT file i think that when right clicking soe stuff you could easily select like "make pkg' when it was right clicked on a pkg file. I can't seem to find this to associate with this like my old PC and it's been so long I can't recall what exactly I did or need to do to get this back. Man I am so rusty with my PS3 it's sad, spend to much time on my PS4.

@aldostools

Ok I think I found it in ps3tools but the bat just opens a cmd window and closes so quickly I can't be sure what it error'd on as i didn't add the context menu.

I also compiled MAMBA 7.2 with all the changes from Ranci-O plus some small updates found in Cobra 7.2.

Previous versions MAMBA reported it as version 8.0, but now reports 7.2 to be in sync with Cobra version.

Is there a way to know the firmware version of a PS Vita from an unopened box like we could do with PSP's back in the good old days by checking the barcode for example? If so does anyone feel like making a chart of some sort or posting a link to one? I looked and couldn't find any. I'm looking for something like this but for the Vita Determining PSP firmware using box codes (Dec 23, 2007)

mGBA 0.4.0

About:
mGBA is a new Game Boy Advance emulator written in C. The project started in April 2013 with the goal of being fast enough to run on lower end hardware than other emulators support, without sacrificing accuracy or portability. Even in the initial version, games generally play without problems. It is loosely based on the previous GBA.js emulator, although very little of GBA.js can still be seen in mGBA. Other goals include accurate enough emulation to provide a development environment for homebrew software, a good workflow for tool-assist runners, and a modern feature set for emulators that older emulators may not support.
mGBA is licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and the code can be found on GitHub.

Volition Releases Unfinished Saints Row Game For the PSP

The developers over at Volition, known for developing games such as the Red Faction and Saints Row series, released a nice surprise for PSP owners. On their tumblr page about a week ago they announced the release of a unfinished and unreleased game for the PSP. The game is Saints Row Undercover and at the time of release it was not playable on the PSP. However Freakler, who reported this on hackinformer, managed to get this working for the PSP. (with the help of Darthsternie and largeroliker) From that report you can find below a few steps that will show you what needs to be done to the ISO in order to get the game running on your PSP.

Volition Release Note:

Want to play the cancelled PSP game Saints Row Undercover? We released the ISO to unseen64.net!

We hope you enjoy this fun little piece of Volition history! Let us know if you want to see more content like this!
PSP How To:
Quote:

  1. First you will need the free ISO tool UMDGen and delete the EBOOT.BIN file in the PSP_GAME/SYSDIR/ -folder since this isn’t a valid system file for normal PSPs.
  2. After that clone the BOOT.BIN file and simply name it EBOOT.BIN.
  3. After that re-generate the ISO and copy it to your PSP with Custom Firmware. (the EBOOT.BIN is an encrypted version of BOOT.BIN but the PSP can load unencrypted binaries as well)

Quote:

Fruit'Y - Playing with edibles is heavily inspired by the Kaiko classic Gem'X, which has been seen on computers such as the Commodore Amiga 500, Commodore 64 and Atari ST. Although tiger mum forbids little Sheran to play with edibles, there is simply no way to stop him from playing with fruits found inside the deep jungle. Being shiny, smelling wonderful and tasting even better Sheran can't be kept away. So let's do the best we could do: Support him!

The game consists of two boards of fruits. The left field belongs to Sheran who needs to reproduce the right field 1:1 being able to proceed to the next level. Sounds easy?!

Fruit'Y Features
  • Hand set pixels!
  • Amiga chiptunes!
  • Score tracking!
  • 120 levels!

Additional Details About Fruit'Y

The game consists of two boards of fruits. The left field belongs to Sheran who needs to reproduce the right field 1:1 being able to proceed to the next level.

There is a total of five fruits. Once you control Sheran's prank and activate a field, the fruit inside the activated field morphs two steps, while the other fields located above, below, to the left and to the right, morph the fruit located inside only once.

The order of fruits is shown in the middle of the playing field.
  • Mango -> Turns into an orange
  • Orange -> Turns into a banana
  • Banana -> Turns into a pear
  • Pear -> Turns into an apple
  • Apple -> Turns into nothing, the apple disappears.

Don't forget: Hit on the spot, the fruit morphs two steps, while the surrounding neighbor fruits only morph once. It's not difficult to under- stand, just play the first few levels.

So no offence to anyone but why does it feel like wololo's site is filled like 99% with no one much older than around 10? It's really annoying when i go there to check for stuff and in the comments they do nothing but b--ch about how there's "no progess" being made on the vita or ps4.

TheFlow seems to have made PS1 bubbles!!

$

So we have been able to make ARK PS1 bubbles for a while now but that also means no audio. But developer TheFlow seems to have made bubbles that take advantage of the native PS1 emulator inside the Vita instead of relying upon ePSP CFW to boot them. The Git much like the PS3 slims is missing hardware needed to emulate PS1 games from inside the PSP EMU. Sony has two emulators one for PSP & one for PS1 to make up for the missing hardware. TN was able to hijack this EMU with help from qwik and Acid to make TN-X but after qwik leaked everything the day the Vita scene imploded he left the scene with his closed source work. So if you are able to help with PS1 and ePSP/ePS1 emulation hit him up on twitter so we can see this sooner then later. Also seems Rejuvenate will be a must for this exploit.

Downloading pkg files directly to internal hdd from XMB

Made some progress with this mod of XMBM+Mod by aldostools and decided to make a thread for this as I think its a nice step forward and don't want to derail XMBM+Mod thread too with this discussion as ive lots of ideas/questions, This is something ive wanted to be able to do since I first started messing with ps3 xmls but could never manage it. I think the fact that sony added the xil game xml reference for singstar has helped make this easier since then.

Like i said in the XMBM+ thread how this works is I have modified the xil xmls on the hdd so that we can link to pkgs on XMB and install pkgs just like from $ony servers.

Its only at a POC stage but really it just needs work now to turn it into something great IMO.

Here is what it looks like after a day of messing in my spare time:

I havnt got around to looking at the sprx files yet for the main xil URL as sandungas suggested, but if that is found It should be possible to get this list of Homebrew updated on each boot of the console from a custom xml. So it could have the potential be like an XMB PSN store for homebrew that updates automatically on each boot with new content if there is any added.

Hi everyone, I need a help with PSX .XA audio

$

Hi guys. I'm just saying Hello and taking the opportunity to ask for help.

I'm trying to open a .XA file in the PSX game Dance!Dance!Dance!(J) [SLPM-86150].
I tried everything I could find in the Internet (jpsxdec, PSmplay, PSound, pstr, PSX Multi Converter, PSX Hacking Tools, psxplay, psxtulz, psxv120, ReVOLUX, superxa2wav, xa_audio_converter, xa2wav, foobar2000 with vgmstream plug-in, VGMToolbox, ...)
but I simply can`t open, nor play, nor convert the file. I just want, at least, listen the musics.

I used CDmage to extract the .XA file from the .bin image and It reported no errors. After this, jpsxec started to inform that the "Disc Image does not have raw headers-audio may not be detected". It reported no errors during indexing, but founds no sound!
I tried to open the file directly from the .bin image using jpsxdec, but It coudn`t read it well and returned errors.

I searched for a player that runs on the PSX too, I remembered action replay and gameshark media player feature, but they doesn`t played the .XA file, nothing again...

Will I have to edit/add a header to the file to make it playable/convertable?

What I do? I already spent a week searching for a solution!

I would appreciate a help.
Thanks.

Rebug 4.78.1 REX ps2 backup disc problem

$

Now I have a problem with ps2 disc backups for this firmware. Now normally it should come up as ps2 format disc as cobra has had this since 7.0 and I have had no problems with any prior rebug firmware. Since 4.78.1, ps2 backups via disc come up as data disc on the xmb and simply do nothing, now I know ps2 disc backups have worked on 4.75.3 (never tested on 4.76.1 as that was out for short time until 4.78.1) and prior as I sometimes use a modded codebreaker disc to start up ulaunch if I ever had to transfer ps2 saves to the ps3 or transfer codebreaker cheats to the ps2 memory card on the ps3. Now multiman properly shows up the ps2 backup as "whatever game name" but on the xmb, it keeps showing up as a data disc and it is useless. Normal ps2 disc properly show up as playstation 2 format disc so I can play them just fine but this is something I want to know if this bug is on my end or on the firmware.

ISO backups on the hdd are not a problem and thats how I play them 99% of the time, just use my disc backups if I ever wanted to use codebreaker cheats as I don't want to mod like 100 iso backups to include codebreaker.
