So here I am on NG++ almost NG+++ right after I beat Mergo's loft. I'm level 230+ ATM can't recall but man it is nearly impossible to beat The Old Hunters DLC on NG+ let alone above. After about lvl150 its just a number as the stats don't change more then the NPC's in the game. It is beyond tough and I am considering just a new fresh build on NG just to beat the DLC. I am an offline player but its nearly impossible. Even with three Hunters at my level we struggle. I am only one one trophy away from platinum needing to beat the Defiled chalice and I'm really having one helluva time with the DLC. I am so glad I didn't beat it to start NG+++ as it would be near impossible. Anyone that wants to play hit me up on PSN atreyu187_ (atreyu187 got banned :-( ) it is really tough in the fishing village just the standard beast let alone the bosses. Ludwig took me at least 25 tried if not 50. Easily GOTY IMO so much so I have a stack of unopened games as I can't put this down till I get all the trophies and all the NPC side quest done. Anyhow I am going back to struggling now and grind a bit more. Managed to acquire 2,000,000 blood echos in 30min flat and trying to soft cap all stats at 50 before going at it again, the last chalice or the DLC. Arcane, bloodtinge and vitality are 50 with everything else at 46 minimum outside of endurance as after 40 it just doesn't move till you hit 50 and I just can't bear to spend 5,000,000 blood echos on three measly stat points when the rest at least show a little more payback.

Eid0 & eid5
So I found some of the IDPS I had from a while back on one of my HDD's. I know them to be good a while back as one of them is the valid on I'm using now. Anyhow it reports back as longer 2.70 on a CECH-2501A which I bought ne w and got banned some years back on 3.40 factory.
Anyhow I am going to try to edit the IDPS to reflect a CECH-2501A and correct minver then try to flash it back. I'm also going to test the other two I got from my CECH-3001 and one I got from a YLOD 40GB NOR model via E3 sometime back. Anyway instead of using the long winded tutorial I wrote for PSX-Scene before Zar's awesome IDPSet I am gonna use his tool.
So I of course want to test my edits before a permanent install. Do I need to save to the EID0 or the EID5 for testing purposes to ensure I can log into PSN before the final install. So for it not to stick after reboot which do I need to write to. 0 or 5?
Edit
I am also gonna try my PSP IDPS again just for fun as its useless and one of my PSTV's I can spare to get banned if it happens and report back. Managed to snag it on firmware 3.51 via EML hack before going to 3.57 now. I know it will not work for online play but maybe I can use it to grab PSP/PS1 content still and maybe even Vita for curiosity sake.

CCAPI v2.70 REV 2 - 4.78 CEX / 4.76 DEX Custom Firmware Support Added
PS3 Developer Enstone has updated CCAPI (ControlConsole API) v2.70 with the release of Revision #2, which now adds 4.78 CFW Support for CEX and then 4.76 DEX type Custom Firmware (CFW). There is not much else with this update from Enstone as this is a simple compatibility revision for 4.78/4.76, but if you have not been staying current with CCAPI, the v2.70 update that was released a few weeks ago added additional features to CCAPI including support for an Official Android app for controlling various aspect of your CFW enabled PS3 Console when running CCAPI. Then just last week we seen the release of an unofficial Android app (CCDroid) witch is an alternative to the official android app. that was introduced along with the original v2.70 update.

Hdd in another ps3?
Hello partners...
I have a question... A friend gets a ps3 with cfw but he is too noob about scene, so I want to know if it's possible put his hdd on my ps3 and configure it by myself... He lives in another state, that's why I can't configure his ps3.
Both ps3 have same cfw.

PS3Lock v0.7 - Supporting 4.78 Custom Firmware
We continue to see developer's update their homebrew project to support the latest 4.78 firmware update on the PlayStation 3 (PS3). That trend continues as plugin developer MixeryMaxe releases the latest version of PS3Lock v0.7, this is a ps3 plugin that locks down many settings on the XMB and even provides a button password if one chooses to use a pass on boot of the console. Also many other settings are disabled, so you can allow others to use your CFW enabled PS3 console without the worry of them messing with your setting on your setup. This plugin was based off XMBlock by ermak86 , which is an XMB Mod that disabled many of the same features, but if you prefer a plugin that gives a few added options then this plugin may be a consideration of your needs, both are great options and offer something a bit different.

XBLA on 360 RGH issues
Hi,
I've a xbox 360 slim with RGH (coolrunner rev c) and the "normal" games works perfectly, i put them on internal hdd and freestyle / aurora recognizes the games, but i do the same to xbla games and it doesnt work... i've tried to put them on content folder (hdd1/content/000000) and on a folder created by me, for ex (hdd1/xbla) but two things happens to me:
1 - the game doesnt appear to be choosen or
2- the game appears, i can make download of the update, but doesnt run...
I've tried everything, can anyone give me a hand?
Thanks in advance

Frame rate issues after E3 flasher/dualboot
so ya. i have installed the E3 flasher in a slim JTP-001 motherboard.
all works good i can get online and then swap to CFW very cool. but its almost not worth it since games run like crap now.
Even on the OFW side games run the same doesnt matter which NOR im running.
i get pretty bad frame rate drops and degraded graphics when this happens.
so a few things i have thought of.
its got something to do with how the E3 Card itself not being fast enough as its plugged into the SATA port on the PS3 then converted to Esata and the we gotta go back to Sata for the HDD.
i am not using the E3 docking station i have a Esata to sata cable going to my HDDs and then i got a separate power supply to juice them.
has anyone else noticed this at all any advice on what i could try cause its pretty bad and i am close to removing all 50 wires if i cant figure this out.
thank you all

Easy way to directly convert PS3 ISO's?
So I am going through and reading all my content from my archived rips and for some reason I have two games I saved as ISO and not JB folders, my laser is not spinning up after my brick recovery and I don't have the time to pull back apart ATM and see what is up. Since I am trying to use FAT32 now I need to convert some of the files into split ISO's my Just Cause 2, Sleeping Dogs & Tomb Raider combo disc (this one I may just bite the bullet to separate all three games again), Evil Within NTSC & Castlevaina Collection. They are all over 4gb so instead of extracting the ISO's then making split images is there a method for direct conversion?

PS3DumpChecker (Build 487)
PS3DumpChecker is a Windows application to aid in checking/verifying PlayStation 3 NAND/NOR dumps. Please note that applications like these do not guarantee that your NAND/NOR dump is 100%. Use as a guidance.
NEW - Build 487 2016-01-24:
- Changed: The embedded 4.76 patch replaced by a 4.78 patch build from the FERROX 4.78 CEX custom firmware CoreOS.
- Added: OFW and Patched 4.78 ROS hashs.
- Added cisd2 no-wifi entry and one CECHB SKU ID data.
Previous Updates to PS3DumpChecker
Code:
Build 486 2015-09-11:
Updated UpdateHelper.exe to not delete itself (this was causing some antivirus software to call it a trojan/virus/malicious/suspicious software)
Build 485 2015-09-06:
Changed: The embedded 4.75 patch replaced by a 4.76 patch build from the FERROX 4.76 CEX custom firmware CoreOS.
Added: OFW and Patched 4.76 ROS hashs.
Build 484 2015-06-08:
Changed: The embedded 4.70 patch replaced by a 4.75 patch build from the FERROX 4.75 CEX custom firmware CoreOS.
Added: OFW and Patched 4.75 ROS hashs.
Fixed: metldr threshold stats slightly adjusted.
Build 481 2015-02-27:
Changed: The embedded 4.66 patch replaced by the Darkjiros's 4.70 fixed patch
Added: OFW and Patched 4.70 ROS hashs
Fixed: cvtrm checks 010.04 & 010.06 (NAND) and 010.06 & 010.11 (NOR) are deactivated as they are causing false negative on some rare flash images. Those checks are commented into the default.config files and can be restaured.
Fixed: datas of cISD semistatic2 check completed for refurbished NAND consoles. Added one SKU datas for a CECHG refurbished console as well.
Build 479 2015-01-23:
Added: embedded ROS patch version now displayed in settings.
Added: new button to restore default values of settings (clear registry then restart the application).
improved: settings form, some tooltips...
Fixed: now "Restore ROS header" option is disabled if internal patcher is not used.
Fixed: cvtrm Header static check (NAND)
Build 475 2015-01-11:
Added: New option to select a custom ROS patch instead of the default embedded one. (a patch.bin file in the root directory still working if exist)
Added: new cISD1 semistatic 2 entry (NOR check)
Build 473 2014-12-05:
Added: Some tooltips in the settings menu.
Added: New option to restore ROS headers. May be useful for dumps coming from jailbroken consoles. The option can be enabled in the settings menu, "Restore ROS headers".
Added: The embedded TRVK patches have been reinstated as an option. Can be enabled in the settings menu, "Apply TRVK patches".
Build 470 2014-11-22:
Changed: Because it was causing some soft-bricks on slim models, the embedded 4.66 patch is replaced by Darkjiros 4.66 patch.
Build 469 2014-11-20:
Changed: The embedded 4.65 patch replaced by a 4.66 patch (Littlebalup's build)
Added: OFW and Patched 4.66 ROS hashs
Added: one new cISD1 Semistatic 2 entry (NAND)
Fixed: cell_ext_os_area check (NAND)
Build 468 2014-10-14:
Changed: The embedded Darkiris's 4.65 patch replaced by a patch made from "Ferrox 4.65 DB" firmware CoreOS (as the Darkiris's patch has some issues).
Added: VTRM 0xFF filled area checks (variable size/starting offset depending of VTRM entries count)
Added: Bootldr & asecure_loader 0x00 / 0xFF filled area checks (variable size/starting offset depending on version)
Added: A "Force Patch" option allowing to apply patches even if the dump failed verification. Can be enabled/disabled in the settings menu, disabled by default. Must be used with care and knowledge
Added: The Three Musketeer's patch MD5 to the hashlist
Changed: Font of the displayed data in text boxes is now monospaced
Added: Some check adjustments. Added some cell_ext_os_area checks (NAND)
Fixed: Some output wouldn't show properly, now it does (ascii null issues along with non-ascii beeing converted to [])
Fixed: ROS Version checks are now performed properly, if the hash don't match any known version, it'll still pass now... (as that's what it was intended for... besides, if this value is bad... the hash won't match ;))
Fixed: The log now contains all data from the Datamatch check aswell (it only shows the data if there's a missmatch somewhere, otherwise it'll just show you the result of the check for each part)
Fixed: Alignment issues with some hex output (all output is now aligned to be per-byte (space in between every 2 hex chars) and 0x10 bytes per line)
Added: SequenceRepetition to the Datamatch check (enables vtrm checking which has > 500 sequences which should match...)
Added: DisableDisplay to the Datamatch check (enables checking large data to be a match without displaying the actual data...)

Is this still on CFW ?
So my nephew's PS3 was running CFW 4.76 CEX and he accidentally upgraded to 4.78 OFW. However the update fails at 75% when installing.
The PS3 still asking for firmware 4.76 or later. Not 4.78
I have tried to install 4.76 CFW again with another HDD of course since the old one just keep installing update.
But right after the PS3 preparing the update it says "The Update Data Corrupted"
So before i messed up with this PS3. I would like to ask is this still on CFW ? Does there something i can do to install CFW again without flasher ?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

How to install TNV-11 Bubble without an exploit game for 1.00-3.52 firmwares
First things first what we are going to need.
PS3 with PSN access, no you can't use another Vita/PSTV on current firmware only a PS3 will be able to obtain the game and transfer to your system
PSP Base game I will use Talkman Travel Tokyo as a base game for this guide as it is small and cheap (note PSTV users will have to install the PSP/PS1 whitelist in order to use Talkman Travel Tokyo as it isn't on the official whitelist but see my guide HERE or use the quick version HERE only the PSP needs to be done for this guide but mine will enable all Vita games not just PSP/PS1 as the simple one will. Also use a base game you don't care about as it becomes unplayable after this)
EML Writer Enabled
1.00-3.36 firmware users will need THIS file
3.5X firmware users need THIS file
6.60 PSP Update
QCMA (Note this is the latest version that works for all FW's but no need to update if you already have a working version, I prefer 0.3.2 as I am on 3.20 and it allows transfer of PSP demo's still. New FW users will need a newer version)
VitaUpdateBlocker v1.2 (it must be v1.2)
Ok got all your files and base game installed on your Vita/PSTV? Good lets get started. As I stated I am using Talkman Travel Tokyo and it's GameID is NPUG80155 and thus will be used for this guide but QCMA if you open the Backup Manager it will happliy give you the base games ID to use.
1- Now fire up your PS3 and grab your game then use CMA to transfer to your system, keep the game on your PS3 in case you need it again. Rebug PKG manager does an amazing job keeping these "bubbles" from cluttering your XMB
2- Load the game one time and create a save file
3- Backup your game on your PC via QMCA as well as the new save file then refresh your database on your PC (don't forget to use the update blocker to allow QCMA to connect to your system)
4- Extract your firmware TNV version from above and drop your 660.PBP file in there
5- Move TNV folder to where your PSP Savegames are located (ex: C:\PS Vita\PSAVEDATA\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) then again refresh the database via QCMA
6- Fire up CMA on your Vita/PSTV and transfer over the new TNV Loader game save
7- Now inside the archive you will see a file called PBOOT.PBP simply rename this to #0 with no extension
8- Go to your email account I prefer google but start an email and make it to yourself and attach your newly named #0 file and the subject will be
Again note this is if you are using Talkman Travel Tokyo adjust accordingly to your base game used. Now send the email to yourself.
9- Go to your Vita/PSTV and open your email client. You will see the new email you just sent. Now open it and you will see the camera icon, click that and you will get the "Can not display this image" message. Do not click this simply exit out using the PS Home button
10- Now we are almost done. Go back to your QCMA then transfer the base game to your PC again as it now contains the TNV PBOOT.PBP needed for a bubble (note if you want you can upgrade to the latest firmware and will still retain the use of this bubble but I wouldn't PSN isn't that great unless you have a ton of free PS= games I would avoid it)
11- Now you need to use QCMA once again to transfer your base game from your PC back to your Vita/PSTV
12- Now go to your home screen and you will see a nice new TNV bubble for your enjoyment. This is TNV-11v2 and is compatible with Bubble Blower for easily making bubbles of any ISO you have in your ms0:/ISO folder
Now that wasn't so bad was it? I plan on adding some images in a while but this all can be done pretty easily if you follow my guide. You can avoid the transfer from Vita/PSTV to PC then back tp Vita/PSTV by simply rebuilding your database but you will lose all app.db nmods you have done. This includes themes, whitelist hacks and more. So just take the extra steps to use QCMA. That and it makes it ready for easy install should you ever actually have to rebuild the database in case of extreme error.

8- Go to your email account I prefer google but start an email and make it to yourself and attach your newly named #0 file and the subject will be
Code:
ux0:pspemu/PSP/GAME/NPUG80155/PBOOT.PBP

Quick note for TN-X and Bubble Blower users
So if you want to use Bubble Blower to easily make your "Bubbles" for your system you can't use TN-X as the two conflict. Just got done with Twitter talking with Hackinformer trying to wort out my current error C1-2858-3 and seems the dev told me the two save files clash. And if you did what I did you will have to reformat and start over. So Here I am formatting again for the second time today.

Best guide to update & protect a Wii
So my kid was give. A Wii today which is hacked on 4.3 but doesn't have boot2 capabilities. I got priiloader installed and working. She was given the device as her friends dad got it and it kept prompting for a system update to run disc based games despite being on 4.3U which I found weird but guessing the stubs are older then the ones found on disc.
Anyhow I enabled priiloader and blocked all updates so got past that. Now my other Wii I force disc based games to run under IOS249 but this systems gives an error 002 so I had to disable this. I am wondering if it even has this as WiiFlow will not run, only loader I have had any luck with is the one already on the SD card which is USBLoaderGX but can't tell which IOS it uses or the build.
So basically I want to go through and update and install everything to make it work as well as my other one but its been years since I did that. Heck haven't played a game on it since Metroid Other M came put besides Wii Sports with my kid.
So I am rusty none the less and with it not having boot2 I am worried I will brick it beyond repair as most of the guides I have found are seemingly old and alot vary with info. That and all I see are for modding from a clean state. I don't know how to find out which hacks are installed and where to go from here. Any info on a good guide would be truly appreciated.
